A Musical Journey Between Two Continents

From the first chords of her life, the musical trajectory of singer and composer Camilla Inês has been intertwined with the richness of Brazilian rhythms and the breath of jazz. Born in Pernambuco into a family of musicians, she has embarked on a journey that has taken her beyond borders, with steps marked by her passion for music and the tireless search for authentic artistic expression.

With a keen sensitivity to the nuances of sound, she began her musical exploration in 1998, immersing herself in the worlds of jazz, bossa nova, and samba. This immersion was much more than a casual dive; it was the first act of a passionate dedication to Brazilian music in all its forms and nuances.

In 2011, she independently released her first album, Jazzmine, a milestone that not only announced her presence on the music scene but was also recognized by critics and audiences, being pre-selected for the prestigious Prêmio da Música Brasileira in 2012.

The music of this artist knows no geographical boundaries. Her chords echo beyond national borders, finding a home in the hearts and radio stations around the world. The album Jazzmine found its home in the playlists of national and international radio stations, solidifying her sonic presence beyond Brazilian borders.

We have found a special chapter in her journey. The generous invitation of the renowned composer and producer Roberto Menescal to compose one of his songs marked the beginning of a rich and unprecedented collaboration, enriching her repertoire and strengthening the musical bond between them with new and unreleased compositions.

Recognized as a prominent Brazilian interpreter of jazz-bossa, according to the newspaper Diário de Pernambuco, the aforementioned artist received international recognition for her album The Rhythm of Samba in 2015, winning the Prêmio Profissionais da Música in the category of Best Executive Production.

This remarkable work echoes in several radio stations around the world, including Japan, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Peru, Argentina, and Puerto Rico, among others, in addition to having a significant presence in Brazilian radio playlists.

Not content with conquering only the national market, Camilla Inês has taken her art beyond the borders. In 2017, she went on a successful tour in Portugal, where she presented The History of Samba-canção. Her artistic versatility became even more evident in 2017 with the release of the single Vamos Dançar Um Bolero, a captivating interpretation of Herbert Pereira's beautiful composition, enriching it with her Latin charm and ensuring that her listeners will not be able to remain indifferent.

Her music has not only crossed oceans but has also lit up stages alongside renowned artists such as Roberto Menescal, Hélio Delmiro, Maestro Spok, the Brasília Symphony Orchestra, and the Orfeão de Leiria Choir (Portugal), to name a few.

Inês' voice and compositions have captivated audiences in both Brazil and Portugal, where she embarked on an unforgettable tour in 2017, sharing The History of Samba-canção with an audience eager for her art.

2017 marked another moment of artistic expansion with the release of the single Vamos Dançar Um Bolero, revealing the artist's versatility in interpreting a beautiful song by Herbert Pereira with Latin charm. And so, each chord, each verse, was weaving the web of her musical journey.

In 2021, she consolidated her connection between Brazil and Portugal with the release of her first original EP, Gotas de Oceano. Produced by Latin Grammy winner Swami Jr., this work celebrates female freedom through poetry and philosophy, demonstrating the depth and sensitivity of her artistic expression.

With Gotas de Oceano, Camilla Inês presents her audience with a work that transcends borders and celebrates female freedom through poetry and philosophy. This new chapter, marked by the adversities of the pandemic, reveals her skill as an interpreter and her dexterity and versatility as a composer.

Camilla Inês’ music is more than just a sound; it is an invitation to embark on an emotional journey and a dive into the depths of the human soul. And with every note, every chord, she reminds us that despite geographical distances, we are all connected through the universal language of music.
